Pumpkin Spice French Toast


4 eggs

½ pumpkin puree

¾ c. milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp brown sugar

8 slices Texas style bread


  1. To a deep dish add eggs, pumpkin, milk, vanilla, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and brown sugar

  2. Whisk everything until well combined

  3. Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet and grease well

  4. Take the bread and dip both sides into the egg mixture. Dunk in each side about 5 seconds to let it absorb some of the mixture, but be quick or else they’ll get soggy

  5. Place bread directly on pan after dipping. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes, flip and cook other side additional 3-4, or until bread is cooked and golden

  6. Serve with butter and/or your favorite syrup!
