Halloween Candy Brownies
Ingredients
5 tbsp butter, melted
1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
½ tbsp espresso powder
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup all-purpose flour
Leftover Halloween candy (as much as you want!)
Directions
Melt butter. While still warm, mix in sugar. Then add eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla. Give a good mix, and continue adding cocoa powder and vegetable oil
Using a spatula, slowly mix in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, espresso powder, and salt. Fold in half the candy. Don’t overmix, just until incorporated!
Pour into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper and spread evenly. Bake in preheated 325 F oven for 25 minutes. Add remaining half of candy to the top and continue baking another 5 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into brownie batter comes out clean
