Crockpot Pork Carnitas


3 lbs pork roast, cubed

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp oregano

1 ½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp red chili powder

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 orange, juiced

¼ cup lime juice

1 orange, sliced

1 onion, roughly chopped


  1. Place first 12 ingredients into crockpot and give a nice toss.

  2. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours

  3. Remove orange peels and toss.

  4. Using slotted spoon, spread pork into baking tray in thin layer

  5. Place under the broiler, about 4-5 minutes until nice and crispy. Flip and continue broiling another 4-5 minutes or until desired

  6. Enjoy on warm, fresh tortillas with cilantro and fresh lime juice
