Cranberry Sauce


1 cup water

1 cup sugar

12 ounces cranberries

1 cinnamon stick

Juice of 1 orange

Zest of 1 orange


  1. To saucepan, add water and sugar. Bring to a boil. Once sugar is all dissolved, add in the cranberries, orange juice, and cinnamon stick. Return to boil

  2. Lower the heat, and allow to simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally

  3. Add in the orange zest and continue simmering another 5 minutes
