Candied Almonds


1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp salt

1 egg white

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups whole almonds


  1. In small bowl mix together both sugars, cinnamon, and salt until well incorporated. Set aside

  2. In separate bowl, use a whisk or hand mixer to beat the egg white. You want it to become white and frothy, but not quite to the point that it peaks

  3. Mix vanilla into the egg whites. Now add the almonds and stir until they are all well coated with the wet mixture

  4. Pour sugar mixture into bowl with the almonds and take your time tossing until it’s all well mixed and all the almonds are coated nicely

  5. Spread almonds evenly over a parchment lined baking sheet

  6. Baked in a preheated 300 F oven for 30 minutes, flipping the almonds over once halfway

  7. Allow to cool completely before eating. Store in an airtight container
